Business Element Manager and Java 7

I cannot get Business Element Manager to work after I install Java 7. The update to Java 7 breaks BEM. It gives an error when launching BEM that javaw cannot be found. This happened on two of our laptops. I tried uninstalling and re installing BEM after installing Java 7 and still got the error. Also the Java pages when web browsing to the BCMs do not load with Java 7. This happened on BCM50 R3, R5, and R6. This also happened on a BCM450 R6. Both laptops are running Windows 7 Pro x64. All of the BCMs were patched to the latest patches for their versions. BEM version is 62.0.3. the only way I could get BEM to work again was to uninstall Java 7 and install Java 6u41.

Anyone have BEM working with Java 7?

I've got BEM 62.05 running on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with no issues. Java 7 u15 x64

Are you using the x64 install of Java 7?

Same happened to me and I went to sun.com and install the 64 version. Worked then.
