Bus name and OLI#

Got a call from a customer with Mics 5.0....PRI-A and DID's.
They want name display instead of "unknown"showing to their customers.
I understand that I can program an OLI# ona per set basis, but the name cannot be programmed on the onsite Norstar. I am under the impression that BUS NAME in system programming will not accomplish this, but must be set up by the service provider.Am I correct?

Yes I would start with the carrier and find out what they're seeing. Because if you're not using any OLI then your main number should be what goes out.

Thanks for getting back but my question was actually....can a name rather than a number, be programmed to be sent out by the Norstar or is that a carrier issue? Currently the called party is seeing "UNKNOWN"

How does it go..
If Business Name is programmed you see Business Name and Set Name
If OLI is programmed then you see the phone number you entered

I am not positive on this.
