Bunch of Quick Questions...Nec 2000IPS

I am having a tech do some programing today. I figure I will give him a list.

1. Right now all outgoing calls give our main number. We have several DID numbers. We want some of those numbers to be sent out instead of the main number when that particular extension makes a call (i.e.our school's DID office number) I don't want all of them just some of them. The rest can give the main number. Can this be done?

2. I would like a softkey to show up on incoming calls. SEND TO VOICEMAIL. I want to be able to push a button and send an incoming call directly to my voicemail.

3. When calling an extension I would like to push a button and go to their voicemail without waiting for the customary 4 rings when I know they aren't there. Can this be done?

thought I give a further update...the tech returned yesterday to replace all the D-term Series I phones in the bad lot.(60) The information for transferring to voicemail via a button he received from NEC was the same as was the same as all you suggested. It doesn't work. Neither does quick transfer...it all seems to be related. He is still working on it.
I will pass along the DID information to him as well.

Did your tech bother to call NEC while he was there to have them look at this on your system?
I set up the transfer feature on 3 test systems I have on various versions of software on the IPS and it worked fine on all. I am assuming you have a NEAX 2000 IPS?
The feature was originally released back on 1800 series software on the NEAX 2000IVS and I have never seen it not work when the system programming was correct.
 
Yes, we have a NEAX 2000 IPS. I know the techs here don't have that much experience with them. I really want to learn it but can't find training anywhere. I did sign up for a Matworx 101 online class but it isn't until May.
I honestly don't think they programmed it correctly from day one and all the problems(quick transfer and transfer to VM are related). Time to switch vendors? I have no maintenance contract with the local dealers since I do 90% of the work I felt it was a waste.
He did call NEC and they confirmed the directions many gave above. We did not reset the system. I will reset it after five tonight.

as a customer you are allowed to train on the system look at the nec web site for schedule. Kind of costly for a once in a while user but better than signing a Maint contract.
It has to be in cm 51.
 
Thought I would give you an update....After a week of not hearing from the tech I called my sales rep and complained. He had been out with the flu. The next morning I got the a different tech who immediately called NEC and did #1 and #2. #3 is possible if I upgrade the version from F2 to the latest. Thanks to all who replied. I was able to prove what I wanted was possible. My quick transfer was also fixed. The best part is now any extension related to the school shows the school's main number. My receptionist was ready to kiss the tech on the lips for that one alone ( and she is very pretty).
On a side note I found out that all our DTerm Series i 8 button phones were from a bad lot and I got all 60 replaced for free.
