Hi and thanks to all that have been helping me get the feel for this Flash stuff.

I am trying to build a site using Flash and am wondering how to create different pages. It seems I could just create several different projects one page each and then use the "goto web address" in Behaivers but I am sure there is a correct way. I thought I could create scene 1 (one page) scene 2 (next page) and then just link them but had no luck. What is the correct way to create a site with several pages?

You could just do a seperate frame for each page. Or you could divide up your site into a seperate .fla for each section. You could also use a seperate MC for each page and just show and hide them based on which section is called for.

Ultimately "correct" is based on your needs, but I wouldn't use seperate scenes (since they are just an illusion anyway), and I would say that seperate .fla's is probably over engineering unless you have a lot of content.

Hope it helps.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

i kind of disagree with pixl8r...i would say its best to to do everything correct from the start and learn good habits...to me thats a separate fla/swf for each page

makes everything easier to organise and maintain if there is just one page with the menu and an empty clip on stage into which each movie is loaded as the user selects
