I have to report on the current week for this year and last year and then calculate a variance. Currently, I have to manually change the week every week in the variable. (IE: =<P Total Price Qty> Where (<P Year>=2004 And <P Week>=12.

What I am trying to do is report the Total Price Qty based on the Year and Week that the user enters, any susggestions? I am using BO 5.1.6.

Thanks in advance for your input.

You can use @prompt function in universe to create a prompt object, or use prompt in your query designer in BO report. Do you want to filter your records in report's dataprovider?

Thanks for your reply. I don't have access to make changes in the universe and yes, I want to filter the records in the data provider. What I'm actually trying to do is get records back for whatever week they enter in less than or equal to that week.

Thanks,

This seems to work (tested it with version 6.1a)

create variable: CurrentWeek = Week(CurrentDate())

This automatically resets to a detail, but a global filter using this new variable seems to work...........
