Bugcheck on NT 4 sp6a

Last night my BDC got the following error : The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was 0x0000001e [0xc0000005, ox80192949, 0x00000001, 0x02022295], Microsoft Windows NT [v15.1381]. A full dump was not saved.
The only new thing installed was MS's security fix for wm_timer last Saturday.
Can any help!

I found by lots of research on the subject that it could be on or a mixture of 3 things;
Bad RAM
Mainboard
CPU
I changed to Win2K and that helped my problem with bugchgeck errors.
Just what I have read and heard. Call Compaq if it is still under warranty.
They replaced my RAM and MB but it seemed to be a combo of AV and my NT installation.

I work for an ISP in the UK, and we use Compaq boxes with Nt4 and Win2k.

The stop errors can sometimes be attributed to the Virtual Memory size being bigger than the physical memory.

thus, when something greater in size than either memory allocation, the box will BSOD and do a physical memory dump or bigcheck.

Random NT 4 BSOD's since 12-2002:
This was due to a flaw in the wm_timer patch which was issued 12-2002. Microsoft re-issued the patch with the flaw fixed. The updated bulletin is dated 4-30-2003:

HI,

The Problem on our NT 4.0 with SP.6a and Exchange 5.5 with SP4 started after a install of MC Afee 7.0 Enterprise version.


So next monday we will uninstall mc afee 7.0 and see what happens then.
