I have an option 61 Rls 3 with ACD sets that buzz like a call is being presented but there is no call and you cannot stop the buzzing unless you unplug the set, any ideas?
I've found a reference to this problem many years ago at release 24.25. Please see below.
Patch 12628 prevents phantom ringing on ACD agents sets.
Conditions
:In a busy ACD queue with no idle agent available and no call waiting in the queue. Most of the log-in agents are busy on the call while the rest of the log-in agents are busy on their paper work with only the NRD key turned on. Intermittenly these NRD M2616 ACD sets keep ringing with their IN-CALL key stayed dark. NRD turned from lit to dark, ACNT and AWC key keep flashing and BUG6246 generated. When real call ( IN-CALL key flashing ) terminated on the agent set, agent can answer the call but phone keep ringing after the agent pick up the handset; and stay ringing during the whole conversation. Disable and enable or unplug the set does not stop the ringing. The only workaround is to connect a phone at the MDF, call the PDN number, answered and goes on-hook.
Problem occurs after software upgrade from Rls 21.54 to
Rls 24.25 CP4 machine
Network card, Shelf Controller, or Digital Line card. Re-seat each one, every other night to test and identify. If you receive any type of error while un-plugging, suspect that card.

We had a similar issue with some M3905 telephones - loaded the latest version of firmware on the set and the issue cleared. Have you tried to update the firmware on the sets?
Yes we updated the sets, we also have NCC and CCMS in the picture for call routing, we have the vendor looking into this but they don't seem to know what's going on.
