Question #1:
I've been getting to following error several times a day for a couple weeks:

ERR9032 1 18 11:19:46 20/07/2006

ERR9032 tn
Channel is put in lockout state.

Severity: Minor

SBC doesn't think it's a big problem, but I don't like errors, especially unexplainable ones. This happens on different TNs and doesn't affect anything that I can tell. If I check the status of a "locked out" TN when the error message appears, it's always clear. Trunks are nowhere near full. No changes have been made to software or hardware, other than I removed a UPS that went bad (to be replaced next week). I've also checked grounding.

Any ideas what's causing this and should I be concerned?

Invalid input command for compact dial pad digit. DIAL_PAD.

TN 7 0 0 1 is an ACD built as a 2616 for VMWI from a Centigram voicemail. This is the first time I've seen this error. The Centigram is "flaky" and we're replacing it with a CallPilot in a few weeks. Should I be concerned about this error, especially since the cause will be going away very soon?

The Channel lockout could be a number of things, I've seen it happen when someone spams out faxes from our fax server, bad credit card terminal etc and it really is nothing to worry about. And it usually will clear before you can stat the span.
The bug4215 is kind of the same, could come from a bad set, definitly from the voicemail or other equipment attached that's built as a phone. I see it from our dictaphone platform all the time. Their engineers always promise to fix it but never happens.
I would'nt worry about either of those messages.

As the saying goes, you gotta pick your battles my friend. You can spend time on things nobody else knew was broke...

Or you can install new coil cords on all the phones near the executive offices. Damned they would love ya :)

Thanks Dougo and Gene. This switch has been clean for a long time, and now it's <gasp> dirty - oh the shame of it all... I guess nobody but me will see it but if they do, I gave the executives new 3904's this week, coil cords and all - that's gotta give me some brownie points. :)
