This is the error that I am getting, I am running a Windows 2003 Server w/SP1 installed, it is my DC.

Any ideas on what it could be?

I have the same occasional problem with one of my DCs. To clear it, I need to re-boot the DC. However, I also backup a second DC with no problem. The main difference is:

The one that gives me problems was upgraded from Enterprise Server 2000 to Enterprise Server 2003 , with SP. The one that doesn't give me problems was a fresh new installation of Enterprise 2003 Server.

Ditto - occassionally get this on my Exchange Server. The onnly way I found to resolve VSS errors is to reboot the server.
