Btrieve to Access with Pervasive

I'm attempting to convert a Peachtree database based in Btrieve in order to use Access to view it. I have the Pervasive 2000 product and I have all of the DDF's from the Peachtree database. How do I set up Pervasive in order to transport the data. I also have the field definitions for the Peachtree database. Any help would be greatly appreciated as my background is in networking and not in databases.

Install Pervasive's ODBC driver and set a an ODBC DSN for each company in Peachtree. Then go to MS Access and setup link tables to the individual Btreive tables. At that point you are attached to the data and you can manually change the data in Access, or write reports, or what have you.

Just out of curiousity what are you going to do once get access to read this? Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports, Goldmine and MS Office

It worked perfectly! Thanks for the help! My company has an event management software program built overtop of Access and SQL and a client wanted to use their accounting data out of peachtree along with our program. I just had to set up the link between the database and another employee is doing the actual work with our program.

Good deal. Keep this board in mind in mind if you have any custom reporting needs or other Pervasive issues. This is the best board I have ever seen for this type of stuff. I spend most of my time in Crystal Reports forums but I work with Pervasive a lot.
