btrieve error 11

I am using pervasive:btrieve 7.9. I am getting btrieve error 11 ie invalid file name when i run some of my dos application on W2K Professional while some other dos application run successfully. I am using Pervasive first time.

11: The specified filename is invalid

This Status code indicates that the filename specified does not conform to file naming conventions. Make sure the filename is valid for the environment.
Status code 11 can also have the following meanings in server-based versions of Btrieve:

· An attempt was made to open a file that has .^^^ as its extension. This extension is reserved for Btrieve to use during a continuous operation. (Continuous operations are used only in the server-based Btrieve environment.)
· The data buffer for a Begin or End continuous operation is not setup correctly.

Also make sure you are not using long filenames/directories or names with spaces.
