Btrieve and VB - Need Sample 2

I'm trying to write a VB6 program, that reads one record from one btrieve file and writes it to another btrieve file. So far I was not successful to usa the ADO interface, it is way to slow. I was wondering, if anybody has some sample of VB how to open the table, find one record and pass it to another table. I'm using the ActiveX controller from Classic Software

Do you have the sample code that Classic supplies? If not, I can email you a sample project that illustrates one approach...although its a bulk copy approach. I'm sure you could modify it for copying only one record. If you want me to send it to you, email me at sgreen@itsconline.com

Hi it seems you guys might be able to help me. I am using VB6 and trying to access btr files through the btrieve api. my question is how to get values from the fields if they are of type decimal in the tables? for example a table with decimal 7.2, how do u access? i can't seem to get the data, it's not the data i expect.

You also have the option of the activex controls from Pervasive. I've used them for years and they are very stable and to do what you want to do is a simple process. Visit
