btreive via datastage

hello - i have a odbc dsn to a pervasive sql (btrieve) database. i can get it to connect and access data just fine using DTS or even MSAccess. but i cannot get DataStage to connect using it. i get the following error:

PSIIEmpExt..PSIIEmp: DSD.BCIConnect connecting to Monkey02_IAMC, call to SQLConnect failed.
SQLSTATE=IM003, DBMS.CODE=160
[DataStage][SQL Client][ODBC]Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1114 (Pervasive ODBC Client Interface).

any thoughts?

Sounds like it is caused by the settings for the Pervasive ODBC Client Interface. Do you have the odbc.ini file set up and in datastage's environment?

thanks very much for the response. it turned out that we resolved it by using the Ascential btrieve driver rather that the pervasive one that we had. seems to be ok now. again, thanks for your reply!
