BST Doorphone

Hi Guys,

I have a IP Office R5 7.0.28 with a DS30A and I am trying to get a BST Doorphone working. When I Hook up the doorphone, the user shows it as a doorphone with the picture of the actual BST doorphone picture. When I look in Systen status, the device shows as a "BST Doorphone". So it seem to me it is supported but the problem is, when I push the button it rings the huntgroup I want it to call using ?D/ dial extension/ huntgroup ext but when the person answers the phone and hangs up, the doorphone keeps calling the huntgroup over and over again. Has anyone tried this and if so have they experienced this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It isn't expressly called out in the 7.0 GA bulletin, so I'd guess it isn't going to work. Those things were squirrely even on a BCM. I never tried the BST doorphone on IPO. I migrated one BCM to IPO and replaced the BST doorphone with a Viking analog doorphone and use the relay contacts in the IPO to trigger the latch. Worked good for me.

Yes, they may well have attempted to get it working but failed so rather than waste countless hours on it they instead never supported it, and then simply never took the underlying programming out which is why that info shows.

Either way it isn't supported
