Browsing the network???

I have a problem and I just don't know the reason.

We have a small network domain consisting of Win2000 server and win2000 pro machines. The problem is when I try browsing the network or adding a printer. Sometimes I can see all the other machines and the printers but sometimes I cannot. The same thing happens to other users, sometimes they can see the other computers on the network and sometimes they cannot.

What is going on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It seems that I can ping and use UNC naming all the time. We have 30 workstations and 7 servers total. I don't mind the fact that I can use UNC to map drives or printer but it starts to get old when a user can't see anything browsing the network and does not know the path.

Is it the same user/login(s) that always has the problem? Or when one can't see, they all can't see?
