Currently we have SP 2003 and contributors upload documents via the folder structure. After installing SPD 2007, the folder structure is no longer accessable. Is there a tweak to fix this?

Current access to SP 2003 files for Contributors list the folder structure and documents within.

After installing SPD 2007 – on the same folder path, the folder structure is no longer visible. Just a blank screen for the folder.

I don't think I understand exactly what you are trying to say, but I can give you a few ideas. SharePoint uses a custom version of the webdav protocol. If you inadvertantly altered this in your installation you may have a problem. Otherwise I would consider what else may have changed for your users IE settings (Security, etc) and any other network settings.

The only difference is the addition of SPD 2007. All PCs use the same base image. I even reinstalled our image - all worked fine. Installed SPD 2007 - and it broke.

To clarify the problem, I use to be able to view the file structure of SP site using This method gave contributors the ability to see if an item was checked out or published by use of a pencil or star over the file icon. Now when trying to use the same method to access the site, I get an empty right pane within windows explorer.

I can however use webdav and map the location of the 2007 SP site, but the 2003 site continues to give an error stating that the path cannot be found. This method is acceptable for the 2007 site, but still does not help for the 2003. In addition, this connection method does not offer the contributors to see the status of the file; checked in, out or published.
