Hi

I have setup my sonicwall to use proxy server ( squid ) for net. problem is that when i use Squid direct it browse perfectly . but through SonicWall i am getting some errors while browsing
Can any body Please Help me out of this.???

The following error was encountered:
Invalid URL
Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems:
Missing or incorrect access protocol (should be ` or similar)
Missing hostname
Illegal double-escape in the URL-Path
Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed
Your cache administrator is root.

I found this problem as well. I partially solved it by making squid a transparent proxy. This allowed some sites such as mapquest to work properly. However, hotmail still isn't working.

additions to squid.conf
httpd_accel_host virtual
httpd_accel_port 80
httpd_accel_with_proxy on
httpd_accel_uses_host_header on

Ok Maqsoodjee here some suggestions to solve your problem. bluedevil2 was on the right track by suggesting that you configure the Squid.conf file. Here are some more configurations you and Blue can try:

Uncomment httpd_accel_host and set it to virtual
Uncomment httpd_accel_with_proxy and set it to on
Uncomment httpd_accel_uses_host_header and set it to on
