Both of my browsers, IE and Foxfire, often indicate "done" after clicking on a webpage link, but present a blank screen.

Any ideas what the problem is? Any help appreciated.

What's the link?

The problem (if it is a problem) could be located in the code of the linked page (if there is any code there).

Have seen this on occasion .... F5 usually works for me, but I have NO idea why it does it !!!!!

<Do I need A Signature or will an X do?>

A few questions.

1. Does this happen on the same link, all the time?
2. What browser are you experiencing this with?

A few possible explanations.

1. The page could have been designed with capabilities that exceed your browser. For example, many programmers will design with only Microsoft Internet Explorer in mind. If they use ActiveX controls, your display will be limited or non-existent with other browsers.

2. The page is heavy to load, or the response time is bad. Go get a coffee, it will be loaded when you get back.

Do you have any popup blockers on your computer. Google Toolbar has blocked a few I needed but you just allow popups for the site and reload it.

Thanks all for your help.

I think I've identified at least 2, maybe 3 causes.

1. My pop-up blocker
2. I guess something just "hangs" occasionally. F5 does work sometimes.
3. Caught myself with a "typo" once too.

Think the mystery is exposed.

Thanks again,

Charles
