Browser or PHP for XML Parse

Hi,

This is my first post. I am going to make an RSS feed reader and have a couple questions. I am using PHP as my server side script.

1. Should I use the XSLT parser that's built into browsers or PHP to parse the XML? why?

2. I'd much rather use PHP. What's the best class to use(hopefully one that's offered with almost all hosting packages)?

I use a little app called lilina.

My opinion would be to use php to parse the xml file.
