Here is my problem and I'm stumped!

I have a VP whose IE does nothing when activated. No error, it does not time out, it simply opens with his home page in the address bar and sits there. No progress bar activity at all.

If I login as me, no problem, browsing is fine.

There are no errors in the event log.

However, he has the hotbar installed (no un-install routine unfortunately) and if he opens windows explorer and selects the hotbar options to browse, IE opens and browsing is fine

I want to re-create his profile but as a senior VP with a laptop, our mail limits do not apply so his .ost is .9Gb so to re-synch will take an age and he won't have time for another week.

Any ideas, anyone? I suspect it's hotbar, as an update was posted to his machine on Friday, just before he logged off.

He's running, W2k, sp4, IE6.0, sp1.

Thanks

Mike

Thought I'd update this.

Hacked out Hotbar (took some time), repaired the registry and all is fine.

Not sure if the installation went bad, possible premature shutdown...
