Browse Object Disappearing In Visual dBASE

Thanks in advance for any and all help and time related to this post.

We have an app written in Visual dBASE that seems to be having a resource problem.

When the user opens a form with a browse object, the browse object and the data within disappears.

We realize we're working with a 16 bit app and dBASE Plus is probably a better platform, as it has a Grid object that would suit our needs better, but if we could get a workaround until we have a chance to upgrade the app would be great.

This app is being run on XP machines.

IT UNLIKELY TO BE XP THAT IS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM.

IF IT IS A RESOURCE ISSUE IT WOULD APPLY TO WHICH EVER VERSION OF WINDOWS YOU ARE USING

BROWSE OBJECTS ARE THE MOST HUNGRY OBJECT OF SYSTEM RESOURCES BUT YOU WOULD NEED MANY TO CAUSE A PROBLEM (10+)
