Brightstor v9 for Netware and Client Agents

I am confused.

We installed our Brightstor Arcserve Backup v9 for Netware upgrade on our NW5.1 server. We also then installed from the same CD the client agent for Windows. The backup is having lots of errors after it connects to the remote Windows 2000 server. E15030 Failed to receive data/request from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, timeout.

It connects just fine and assesses how many files it will backup, but then gives the error.

My question is, do we need to purchase a different client agent software package, or will the agents on the Brightstor Arcserve v9 work? What is the difference?

The error 15030 is a Winsock error ( similar to the 8522 error in Winddows environments ). There are some docs available on the 8522 error, you might check them out.
This has something to do with your network configuration

I'm getting precisely the same error within an all Netware environment using the Trial software.

I'm running a trial version of Arcserve v9.0 for Netware on a NW5.1 Sp6 box. I'm trying to backup an HP ProLiant DL 360 server which has a Gigabit ethernet card installed in it. My Media server had a 100Mbps NIC which I swapped out and installed a Gigabit card into. However I am continually getting the same error which is:

E15030 Failed to receive data/request from PUSKAS

This error is totally consistent, the backup fails at the same point every time - approximately 16 mins into the job.
 
I have found a solution to my problem.

I unselected my volume and reselected the whole thing. I was previously not backing up a couple of select directories. But, now that they have been unselected and reselected, I have resubmitted the job and I don't get the errors!
