BrightStor ARCserve v9 Has anyone tried it?

Has anyone been daring enough to try the new release? I think I read that it uses tape stripping for the RAID option. Is anyone using raid with v9 and if so is there an increase in performance?

Anyone know if this new version is shipping from any of the computer makers on new servers? Dell, is what I am wondering about.
