Hello all,

I have the same issue like many others, have read all forums, but i can't make the REV disk eject automaticly after the backup.

I have followed the guide "create 5-disk rotation backup with arcserve 11.5 - REV Single drive"
The Pre/Post Tab is included with the ImDrvCLI.exe command.

When manually running this command the tape will not eject. If i stop the tape engine in ArcServe and then run the command, the tape does eject.

So is the tape-engine blocking the eject???

The latest patch 11.5 SP3 is installed. The backup works fine.

Kind Regards,

Serge Pille

this is a tough one, at the Iomega side they are saying that it is due to the Tape Engine. On the CA side they are saying it is due to the way Iomega handles the disk as apposed to other removable drive manufacturers.

I don't know just what the root cause it because I've seen some with the problem and others without and and just can not find the commonality in those that have the problem.

Best I can say it install the Added Device Support update for ARCserve, check for an updated driver from Iomega, and Windows update and hopefully the problem will resolve itself.

hello David,

I've done these updates.

The bundle Iomega and ArcServe came with version 11.5 SP1. (have done the update to SP3)
Very frustating when buying a bundle, that the components aren't compatible.
I shall uninstall all, and try a new installation.

The most issue's in these forums are about version 11.3, perhaps i should try and find this older version and install it ?

Kind regards,

Serge Pille

I've used it with Windows XP and ARCserve 11.5. It ran fine with no problem, then had this eject problem, and then it went away. In spite of my best efforts I have no idea why the problem came or left, which is why the Windows update was added to the list.
