Brightstor Arcs E8601 Failed to connect agent (Lotus Notes database)

E8601 Failed to connect agent. (AGENT=dbanotes, EC=1385)
E8601 Failed to connect agent. (AGENT=\\servername\dbanotes, EC=Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer. )
We keep getting this error when Brightstor Arcserve V9 tries to contact to the lotus notes Database. It backs up files on the C:\ & D:\ drive no prob but cannot backup up the lotus notes database....

Any ideas... thank you

Take a look at the administrative shares. They have to be set all C$ D$ ADMIN$ IPC$. I had a customer who removed the administrative shares and the notes db backup failed with the same message you get.

The problem we had was group policy orientated. We had to allow the user to "allow to log on as a service"....
This did the trick.
