Bridging IP Phone to Analog External Ringer

We have an IP 4612 phone we are trying to bridge to an analog external ringer. We want it to go to voicemail after several rings. If I have the phone bridged, it will not go to voicemail, just ring and ring. If I have the IP phone stand-alone, it will go to voicemail after 3 rings. I have tried several different coverage path scenarios, but no luck.
Any suggestions??
This is at a remote site that is connected to our main site via Cisco wireless bridges. We run a Definity G3siV9.

put them both in a term extension group? We used to do that with a analog "strobe" and a few 6400 phones.

I set up a term ext group and both the analog and IP extension ring, but will not cover to voicemail. If I just ring the IP extension, it covers to VM. Very frustrated [sad]!!

Is this because I am using an IP phone set?? Something different I could be using?? I tried the coverage answer group but that doesn't work either. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated........
 
I need this phone to be an IP phone set. I am having issues with an analog extension going to voicemail over the wireless bridge connection to the main site, but if it is bridged to the main phone, has a coverage path set up, or uses a terminating extension group, it makes no difference. As long as that analog extension is involved, it will not go to voicemail.

 
Does a coverage answer group act the same?

Yes, I also tried a coverage answer group. I also tried to set up a coverage path to go from the analog phone to the IP phone thinking then it would hit voicemail, but it does not cover. Not sure what to try next.

This is for a manufacturing plant environment, hence the external ringer to let them know they will have a voicemail message on the lunchroom IP phone.
 
what about a 'abridged' appearance on the IP phone... they call the analog line it rings the bell and the IP phone, and then covers to the bell?

Would you do the same on the analog line?? When I originally set this up, I was told to bridge the analog line to the IP extension, and not do any configuration on the IP set. This works in another warehouse, but it is an analog external ringer and a digital 6416 phone set.
I am heading back over there shortly, I'll give that a try.

 
No configuration I have tried works. Any fresh ideas will be welcome.

Give the last try a chance again. We routinely tie a bell in to a 4620 by changing the bell's call appearance to a bridged appearance of the 4620 extension. It works every time. Make absolutely sure that bridged call alerting is turned on that set - the bell won't ring otherwise.
 
Couldn't get it done......I believe it is a combination of IP phone, wireless connections, and analog lines coming through the Cisco routers. Somewhere in there it loses it's way back to the voicemail system. I gave up...... [shadessad]

I set up an analog phone with an answering machine attached and ran a 1 to 2 adapter from the analog phone jack with the external ringer in one port and the analog phone in the other. Not the way I would have liked to solve the problem, but now the external ringer and the phone ring, and we have voice mail via the answering machine. At least we can get in touch with our night shift........
