Bridged Appearances

I work on a Definity G3rv6. I have a case where a person's phone was removed and after it was reinstalled she said her bridged appearances no longer functioned the same.

She said she wants the display to show who is calling while the bridged appearances are set to Not ring. I have tried this on a few other PBX's and I get the same thing. Only the button will flash and the Ani will not show until the call is physically answered. Any suggestions?

have you tried per button ring on the set? its on page 2 of the station form. I think you have to set both phones.

Paste her station form here. Is this just for bridged external calls? or all calls?

Check and make sure that the station is not set to y in the ip softphone? on page 1 in the station form. I ran into this before and that was set to yes for some god awful reason and then she could see the number come across her phone after I changed it. Hope this is the easy answer for ya.

Sounds like they have the softbutton menu active. Have them press "EXIT" button at the top of the phone.

Try putting an Inspect button on the set. She should be able to get the display by pressing it when as call comes in. This issue is resolved in CM 3.0; A field is on page 16 of the "system-parameters features" form called "Display Information with Bridged No Ring Call". It's a y/n field. Hope this helps.

For some strange reason the fix for this is as follows: At least for G3rV6

Per Button ring control should be set to N, this turns off the ring status on the button assignments.

Bridged Call Alerting should be set to N.

By doing this the ANI will come across the display while the ringer is off.
