I set up bridged appearances on some 4606 IP phones of the main number of that department - now when a call comes in on the number more than one person can answer it at the same time and conference? Why is that?

You do understand what a bridged appearance is, right?

A great teacher, does not provide answers, but methods to teach others "How and where to find the answers"
Avaya. Too little or no help? Expensive?
For FAST switch support at bargain rates, give bsh a call.

Ok....so for me to set it up so only one person at a time answers any one call? Coverage Call Answer group?

That's funny Tier 3 - sorry Taylor. You may be looking for privacy whereas a bridged appearance is picked up and no one else can barge in?

You can set the bridged appearance to automatically provide privacy.

I believe you set this up in system features and COS.

You also must program a privacy button on each phone which will automatically activate once answered. You can put this feature up on a menu button or somewhere seldom used.
