i have a non-DID extention setup in a remote office that is bridged on several 9640 phones, 4 to be exact. When the primary is on the line, I would like for others who have that bridged appearance to be able to jump in on the call. When they try this they cant pick it up. I've checked the settings against another phone that does the same thing sucessfully with different extensions and all seems to be the same. Any ideas?

Is Data Privacy set to Yes in there class of service..? That may have to be set to No.

I already checked the data privacy and that good. I'm at a loss here.

TheChaun,

Change Bridged Idle Line Preference to Y. This should allow you to answer bridged line by picking up handset from primary extension.

Thats not the issue. when primary, or any user for that matter has a line engaged a second user cannot join the existing call. I've played around with that feature already.

Check you exclusion setting in System Parameters Features and Class of Service (COS)

Exclusion: allows multiappearance telephone users to keep other user with appearances of the same extension from bridging onto an existing call.
If the user presses the Exclusion button while other users are already bridged onto the call, the other users are dropped.

There are two means of activating exclusion.

? Manual Exclusion — when the user presses the Exclusion
button (either before dialing or during the call).

? Automatic Exclusion — as soon as the user picks up the handset. To turn off Automatic Exclusion during a call, the user presses the Exclusion button. To use Automatic Exclusion, set the Automatic Exclusion by COS field to y on the feature-Related System Parameters screen.

Exclusion is the opposite of what we want to do. The COS is set with automatic exclusion off. We want user B to be able to jump in on user A's call thats already in progress.
