I have bridge appearance assigned on multiple phones. Is it possible to make them private so no one else can barge in or conference in? Can you make bridge appearance still shows idle on other phones while you have someone on a call?

Haven't played with it but they have included MADN from CS1K does that do it? As I have not tried it I do not know if it functions similar to MCR/MCN on CS1k.

From the book:

This supports customers who want to migrate from CS1000 to Communication Manager and
retain the existing MADN MCA operation or who wish to implement the new multiple call
arrangement bridge capability.

Procedure
1. Enter change station xxxx.
2. Click Next Page until you see a page with available buttons.
3. Tab down to the available entry and enter: brdg-appr.
4. At the B: field, enter the value a.

You can't make them appear idle on other phones however you can prevent barging in by assigning data privacy/automatic exclusion. Lookup privacy in the Feature Description manual.

That’s what I read but our vendor said it cannot be done. I’ll play around with it. And yes MCR in the Nortel world

If I understand what you mean, you want to have key 1234 appear on 2222,3333 and 4444.

If a call hits 1234, any can answer - say 2222. What you want is key 1234 on 3333 and 4444 to still show free and both ring if another call comes to 1234.

You can't do that.

1234 can have many call appearances. A bridged appearance is specifically tied to 1 of 1234's call appearances. So, you could have 3 bridged appearances on 2222,3333,4444 each of call-appr 1 and 2 and 3 of 1234. You can have automatic exclusion so that if 2222 is on one of those keys, 3333 and 4444 can't bridge on.
