I have a scenario where call comes to a cover answer group and rings 5 stations. Once the call is up on a station they want one of the other stations to jump on the call and give assistance.

I tried setting up bridged appearances of the other stations on each phone in the group but when a call comes through the cover answer group you cant use the bridged appearance to join the call on the other station. Seems like bridged appearance only works on calls directly to the number of the bridged station.

Any ideas on how to allow the other stations to join in the call like you can on bridged appearances?

Service Observe is the only option that I know of.

An observer can monitor calls to any of the following entities:
● An extension
● A vector directory number (VDN), on systems with call vectoring
● A logical agent ID, on systems with Expert Agent Selection (EAS)
Observers can monitor calls in listen-only mode or listen-and-talk mode. In listen-and-talk
mode, an observer can hear and speak with all parties on a call. The user that is monitored
does not know that an observer listens to the call, unless you administer Communication
Manager to provide a monitoring tone.

okay so we just changed to bridged appearance but now it acts like exclusion is enabled but i have data privacy and exclusion turned off on COS and you cant join the bridged call unless the first station puts the call on hold. Anyone seen this before?

Joining a call on a bridged line
You can join an existing call on a bridged line.
1. Select the bridged call in progress that you want to join.
2. Press Bridge.

this doesnt work it acts like exclusion is enabled

I created another extension just like this one and the bridge calls will allow you to join them without issue. What in the world could this be...

figured it out. One of the station with the bridged appearance had a bad network connection
