Brick Level Backup Failed (but not really...)

Hi All,

I am using version 9.1 BE and ran my 1st brick level bkp last night. I was greeted with the message this morning that the bkp failed - error a0008488 - Access is denied..
So I attempted to do a brick level restore and was successful with a few different users and misc messages.

Can anybody enlighten me with more information about this highly detailed error message (sarcasm...) without a doubt, it will be some executive's data that didn't make the tape.

Have you had any joy with this problem yet ? We have a customer who has the exact same scenario. Have posted a mail off to veritas support to see what they make of it.

i discovered that a user had some bogus (virus infected) mail in his mailbox. expanding the backup report showed the offending mailbox and mail items. so there were 8 or 9 items that did not make the tape, because "ccess was denied" on them.

I have found that the emails that it cannot access ar not actually in the inbox.
How can I get around this?

If you go to the email box of the user who messages you are getting access denied on. You find that those messages have problems and you will not be able to view them. They are invalid and need to be deleted. Unfortunately you will have to go to each and every email that is listed as having access denied and delete them from the email completely. Make sure you delete them from the deleted box as well.

I hope this helps. I have already been through it and my bricklevel backup is working.
