Is it possible for a secretary to break through a Call-Fwd if the manager has set this up on the phone, instead of only SAC?

As far as I know you can only use this with Send Calls, I have set this up a few times and never got it to override the call forward

Priority calling I believe will ring the phone regardless of the SAC or FWD, if this is what you are after.

yeah we tested breaking through a sac which is normal, but through call-fwd didnt work with priority..

thats why i ask, maybe there are other options?

Simple, use intercom groups. Make a intercom-group with the secretary and chef. For instance:

add intercom next (if you're new this will probably be group 1)

Ext DC Name
1: 5555 01 Chef
2: 5556 02 Secretary

Now make a button "auto-icom GR:1 DC:02" on extension 5555. This will make a speeldial-button (with send-calls/call-fwd breakthrough)to the secretary. Do the same on the secretary-extension: "auto-icom GR:1 DC:01"

And voila: you're done. Combine the intercom-buttons with send-calls, call-fwd and busy-ind buttons and you have a full chef-secretary functionality. That is if the secretary is on point 1 in the chef's coverpath. [2thumbsup]

Some basic knowledge of Siemens Hicom, Avaya Definity and Mitel 3300 ICP.....

Does Intercom override call forward though? I don't think it does I have only done this with SAC.

My only addition to Roland1975's post would be that you can setup either of the two Stations that are termination points for the other stations auto-icom button, to autoanswer for icom.
That way the recieving end of the call, beeps and out answers to the speaker phone, when the originator press their Intercom button.
This way the phone doesn't have to be manually answered to complete the call. (like the intercom boxes from the 'old days')

Have Fun !
