I have a brand new force10 switch. I plugged it into the network and gave it a management IP address. I can reach anything witn our network. But I can't ping out to the internet? I know this is something very basic. But I am a phone guy and they keep throwing this network stuff at me.SH RUN is below. Force10 has the exact same CLI as Cisco. Actually started by Cisco employees.

You need to give VLAN1 an ip address in your subnet range, not port 0/24...

actually you need to remove that ip addy from port 0/24 and give that to VLAN1 or VLAN10, which ever is your management VLAN.

I can't find anyway to setup VLAN1 with an ip address. I use the question mark and can't find a way to setup an ip address with a vlan.

Try, looks like you are just creating the layer 2 vlan with those commands.
conf t
interface vlan 1
ip address <mask>

you say that the Force 10 switch CLI is exactly like the Cisco CLI so perhaps you need to go under the interface vlan 1 and type in no switchport to switch it to a L3 interface.

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)

you probably also need a default gateway set to your router out to internet...or to next hop between this switch and there...I didn't see that setting in your show run...

try this example

Switch#vlan database
vlan 10
exit

config t
int vlan 10
ip address 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0
no shut

ip default-gateway 192.168.1.1

show vlan id 1 <--see the ports assign to this vlan

switchport access vlan 10
