We have a client with a remote office and they are looking to set up a VPN connection between the 2 offices so they can get a few ip phones working at the remote site. some details:

Main site:
-----------
BCM200
BSR222 router
PoE switch

Remote site:
-------------
BSR222 router
PoE switch

both sites have a dedicated WAN/public IP address for the phones, so the voice traffic is completely seperate.

i have been having a really difficult time setting this up. ive been trying to use the branch-tunnel setup, but havent had any luck. my main issue is i cant find any document on nortels support site on how to configure it.

both the BSR config guide and others havent been helpful. doesnt anyone know how to configure this or can point me to the document on how to do it?

ok, so i seem to have the branch-tunnel VPN connection, but the phones arent connectiong, here is the status:

the two BSR's show as having an active VPN connection.

the ip phone on the BCM 200 side is connected and operational

the ip phone at the remote site is NOT connected and just is in an endless loop of:

server unreachable, locating server, connectiont to S2, server unreachable.

NOTE: the ip phone at the bcm200 site says connecting to S1, not S2?

i can ping the WAN ip address of each site, from each site.

thoughts?

What are your ip address ranges at each end? At the remote end, are you using DHCP or are you statically assigning addresses? Exactly how did you get the tunnel established?

Did you set it up as branch office tunnel or did you use client termination?
