Hello all,

I have a BPS2000 running the following...

sysDescr: Business Policy Switch 2000
HW:04 FW:3.6.0.6 SW:v3.2.1.05 ISVN:3

Today for the first time the switch stopped passing traffic and when I consoled into it, it was spewing this message...

0x1767100 (tIdt): NS1200_IDT_XmitData: Could not xfer pkt to queue!

Does anyone know what this might indicate, or know where I can lookup what this means? rebooting the switch cleared the errors, and it appears to be functioning normally: nothing in the log.

This error indicates that the transmit buffer is overflowing and/or it may have intermittent connectivity.

This error represents a hardware failure and intermittent failures will likely recure. The unit should be replaced.

nerd4nortel,

Thanks for the reply. The switch did in fact sieze again so we replaced it.

Lyle.
