I'm running a program which forks and exec's a call to bperror, in order to produce a report for parsing. In the trace of this program, when I exec the bperror call, it tells me that bperror is exiting with exit value 160. A sample would be:

bperror -l -backstat -d 08/02/2001 19:23:38 -e 08/05/2001 22:19:17

Could someone please tell me what this exit value 160 means? Much appreciated.

Sincerely,
ekramer

Status Code 160 should be about authentication failure.
It is described in the NetBackup Troubleshooting guide page 105.
Now, we are running NT but there is description for both O/S's. The recommended action is multiple steps:
1. check the authentication libraries (in your case /usr/openv/lib/libvopie.so and
/usr/openv/lib/libnoauth.so

2. check methods_allow.txt
3. Execute bpauthsync -vopie on master server
