Hi,

I have a customer that has an ancient BP250 telephone switch.
I'd like to export the embedded waves files from the VMU-HD 8 card.

Is that possible trough a X24 connection (remote modem), or can I get them from the embedded flashcard?
I also have an IPU16 IP card in the system.

In what file format would the wave files be then?

Thanks in advance,

Hi

The files for voice prompts in BP250 are in the format .vmu therfor you can not just import/export files in format .wave.
You can export/import from one VMU-HD to another via a pc with the program BPinspect (FTP).
There is also two programs that can convert vmu files to Wav to vmu and the oposite with vmu to wav.
I would ask them to rerecord all nessesary prompts.

Good Luck

Thanks for your reply.
Can I just login with ftp to the BP250? What is the username/password and path?

What is the name of the software that can convert those files?
I only need to perform the procedure once, and there are quite a lot wave files.

The customer has bought a new Mitel system.

Sadly for the BP :-(

you can use telnet using putty on port 23 ,
telnet <ip address of IPU or SIP >
username : remote
password : system password

if the IPU behind NAT , port forwarding must be configured on the other side router
