hi guys

I need to know what does DDI1 & DDI2 stand for in command 2260 on BP250. I know its the last digits of the DDI number but why there is two, DDI1 and DDI2?
I cannot understand also the meaning of the translation table in command 2260, does the first column of internal directory number corresponds to the column DDI1 and the second column to DDI2?
Thank you

you can use different DDI for different trunks.
This can be set with cmd 1804.
example: for trunks 700/701 you can use DDI1 and for trunks 702/703 you can use DDI2

I still do not understand, maybe because in our country we are not use to digital trunks! It's new for me.

How can I use trunk 700 for ddi1 and trunk 702 for ddi2, I thought that in digital trunks
it was impossible to do that since the trunks are fictive and not physical as on analog ones?

thaks a lot for your answer

one example: You can send different extension numbers on outgoing calls

-in cmd 2260 set internal directory number = 200
-DDI1=200
-DDI2=0
-you have two ISDN point to point interfaces connected to trunks 700/701 and 702/703
-on trunk 700/701 you set cmd 1804 to DDI1
-on trunk 702/703 you set cmd 1804 to DDI2

When extension 200 makes an outgoing call it sends -200 when it calls via trunk 700/701
When extension 200 makes an outgoing call it sends -0 when it calls via trunk 702/703

This table is still used for incoming call routing.

Ok
Now I understand, but this is when you have two different links which means two boards, but is that possible on the same ISDN link (30 trunks)???? I don't think so.

At least I understand now the utility, it's useful when you have two or more links, am I right??

as cmd 1804 is trunk based, this is still possible when you have one S2M.
Example:
-put the trunks 0-15 in a route 0 and the trunks 16-29 in a route 9
-when the extensions uses route 0 they can send DDI1 and when they use route 9 they can send
DDI2
