bp 250 ipu

Hi all,

A client has two bp250 in two location . the distance between the sites is 400 kilometers.
recently they get fiber connectvity between the sites for data. can we connect both the bp250 using
ipu cards thru fiber. if possible how many cards should use in each sites. and what kind of ipu package , they looking
for 8 channel between the sites.
advice please.

With one IPU you can have max 12 channels (voip red pack), so when you just need 8 channels
an voip orange pack with 8 channels is needed.
When you have enough bandwith and not too much delay or jitter this is no problem.

-for 8 networking channels you need one IPU in each side.
-as the BP has max 60 PCM channels, I think it makes no sense to install more then 5 IPUs with 12
IP channels in one system but nevertheless it is possible.
