bouncing an address

This is going to be easy for someone but it isn't for me! I've got a guy who works for me in Australia and I am based in England. I want to give him an e-mail address on my Exchange server which sends a post to him at his own address in OZ but to the outside world, they are sending it to him here in england.

You know what I want to do - care to divulge?

I suppose all you really want is to have message sent to theguy@england.com automatically forwarded to theguy@australia.com

If so, all you need to do is create a custom emailaddress, hidden from the GAl or not, as you wish, and use that entry to forward to in his profile (theguy@england.com that is).
So, you need 1 account for him locally and one to forward to.

Thanks for the reply but it is not that clear. Are you saying that I need two accounts for this fella? One in England and one elsewhere? That would show 2 accounts in the address book.

Could you expand a little for me please?

nono, 1 'real' account, let call him 'fella'.
So, you create an account in AD named fella, with his emailaddress fella@yourdomain.com. You can choose to hide him from the GAL or not.

Next, in AD - Users, you create a New - Contact.
Give it a name (Fella in Australia if you want) and define his mailaddress (the Australian one).

Next, go to the user fella, and in Exchange General - Delivery Options - Alternate recipient, you select this New Contact as the one to forward to. You can choose to leave the 'Deliver messagesto both...' un-checked so your server will not keep the mails.
