I work at a school and have several windows 95 computers that hault at the "Windows is now shutting down" screen. When you reboot them, the computer has to do a scandisk.

In the last bootlog.txt file I ran, there are several "loadfailed" vxd files listed, but the "terminate" and "endterminate" entries all look OK. My question is, if these vxd files are not loading properly, would this cause a computer not to shutdown completely?

Thank you for your help.

Thank you, I have used the 2 resources above, and actually, I'm still in the process of troubleshooting via these 2 resources. But, my question that I still need answered is . . . If these vxd files (in the bootlog.txt file) are not loading properly, would these cause a computer not to shutdown completely?
