What happens when switch (Cat-6000) boots up from bootflash?
What will be available? What will not? How limited? DOes it carry same amount of function as the regular IOS image?

It depends on the image in bootflash. If it a boothelper, which usually has the name "boot" in the image name, then it has only basic L3 functionality (although I'm not sure what, specifically, is missing). If it is the regular IOS image it has the full feature set.

c6msfc2-boot-mz.121-13.E5.bin is the one I'm specifically talking about. So I guess it only loads basic L3 functionality without the config right?
