Hi

I have created a win2000 installation on a network share and I use the unattended method to install. On my network share I can include drivers , files and other bits and pieces, however the filecopy phase of the install is too slow when installing from the network. All the files on my network share are under 700mb and there fore can fit on a cd.

I want be able to collect together all the files required to make a boot able win 2000 cd with all the bits I have added (e.g. service packs and other files) and then just burn it to cd with any burning software I choose and not have to rely on any third part tool to create the cd.

Which files must I make sure are on the cd?

This may be a dumb question but I can't seem to find the answer.

Regards

J

Do a search for
Slipstream windows 2000 bootable cd
You'll get literally dozens of sites where people do this.
I've done it myself.
You'll need the boot sector. Some sites you can download it from them others recommend IsoBuster to extract the boot sector from a cd.
Also make sure to follow the directions closely to get the correct result.

Good Luck!
