Boot up time?

I have two computer with win2k on them. I just built the second computer. It's a AMD T-bird 1.13ghz w/512 mg memory. My other computer is a PII 350 with 256 mg memory. Both machinces take the same time to boot up and load win2k. The reason I"m asking this question, is I'm trying to determine if my new T-bird is running like it should. Thanks.

W2k should only go as fast as the OS was intended to run. The system should not effect that. After the OS is booted, you can compare differences in the machines.

Tried enabling the UDMA66?

I've done this with non-intel sets (a Gateway Select with an athlon 700 was the one I did 2 days ago) and it does wonders for the box.
