My XP Pro workstation used to take 5 seconds to get to the Ctrl + Alt + Delete screen. I shut it down and when I next booted up it took over 1 and a half minutes. What can I possible delete to speed things up?

give us some more clues!

(eg, I've never heard of a machine booting that fast - so what had you done to get it so fast/are you exagerating a little. Also, is it as simple as you make it sound. Eg, before you shut it down, had you added/removed any hardware/software, had any problems etc..)

I ment 5 seconds from the end of the black win XP scren, I am on a network, I have deleted all cached copies of profiles, disabled waiting for network at startup and cleared prefetch, when I first installed the XP on the domain it was as if it wasnt part of one, but now it takes 1min 30!!!!

Yeah, i made a custom version (using N-Lite) with built in SP2, it ran fine on the domain untill 2day, i really dont understand, i got it quick again about an hour ago and then it went again!!!!!! Damn Windows!
