boot screen/terminal

hi,

i was given a sparcserver20 by a mate so i can play with solaris but it only boot on the console port how do i cahnge this so it boots on a moniter?

During solaris boot if you have a sun keyboard connected then the display of the bootup will be displayed on the graphic monitor. If no keyboard then the output will go to the terminal port.

cheers for that unfortunatly it has not worked. is there a file that you can change or sommit that does this just like in AIX?

Do you have a graphic board installed? This can be determine by viewing the back and looking for 13w3 type connector. This where the Monitor connects!
