Is there a way to change the date at the boot prompt ( Ok> )

Thanks in advance

I think, you can't do that, but why don't you change the date at the shell?

regards ph

As far as my knowledge concerned, i havent come across any boot prom command to change date..

But the same can be conveniently done at the command prompt.

I thought it could be done at the boot prom level.
Now I know it cannot be done at prom level..Thanks

Hello, the last time I remember changing the date and time at Boot up was when I did a Sysunconfig.

If this is a fresh install and you still have a simple configuration, you can do a sysunconfig and the system will prompt you for info such as "Networking, hostname, etc...

If you have all this info that's one way

Or you could change shells and use the date command to set the time.

e.g. "date 1130.20" which will set the time to 11:30:50
