boot from USB flash memory

can i do this? i saw a product from soyo wherein they have a USB flash drive and you can choose between bootable and non-bootable. if bootable, how do you configure the bios? i have an asus a7n8x.

I checked around the newer usb drives have that feature vs the one I have now..you may want to check your documentation.

If it helps at all there is a thread somewhere on this site that details exactly how to make a USB Flash card bootable.
