Boot error: Hanging on loopback interface

Hi All,

I've just upgraded from Linux 7.3 to Linux 8.0 (both
Redhat). When I boot I see the message:

"Bringing up loopback interface"

and it just hangs. I did not have this problem with RH 7.3
and I am connected to the network when the the machine boots
up and I am using dhcp. What can I do? I checked the knowledge database at RH but to no avail.

Hi All,

I founf oud what you needed to do. It seems that upon
bootup, a file named Sxxkudzu (where xx is some number) gets
executed. This file is located in the directory /etc/rc.d/rc5.d. Your choice is to either delete
this file, or rename it.
